Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the utilization of didactic games in ESL classes while teaching and managing the classroom, as well as strategies and tools for the game between the teacher and the students. Utilizing games in ESL course can fulfill the essential aim of teaching, which is to make students active participants in the learning process and keep them motivated. This paper focuses on analyzing the utilization of games while teaching English with the aim of actively engaging students in the learning process. This study relies on both research methods, the qualitative and quantitative one. There were interviews held with 2 English teachers and a questionnaire completed by the 144 participants. This survey was conducted in a private high school, in Tirana. The findings of this study bring out whether the teacher and students like or not game usage during their English classes.
