Abstract

The aim of this paper at the theoretical level was to characterize risky behavior on the Internet, as well as individual types of risky behavior on the Internet. In the theoretical part of the paper, the authors clarified, among other things, the issue of loneliness and outlined the most common causes of loneliness. The authors defined loneliness from the point of view of the developmental period of adolescence. At the empirical level, the aim of the authors was to identify differences in the incidence of risky behavior on the Internet in adolescents in terms of loneliness. Another aim was to point out the correlations between risky behavior on the Internet and loneliness. Finally, the authors focused on identifying predictions between different types of risky behavior on the Internet and loneliness.
