Circular Supply Chain Digitalisation for Sustainable Development

Abstract

Supply chains influence the level of companies' competitiveness and their strategies are to be in line with the company's strategy. Recently, the sustainable development strategy has started to play a key role in almost all companies from all industries. However, logistic operations relatively rarely include those that support the implementation of the sustainable development strategy in the management of flows in supply chains. The situation is even more difficult when companies decide to implement circular economy principles in their supply chain flows. Therefore, it is important to analyse possible solutions, i.e. available digital technologies that can support a circular supply chain in their flows in order to gain a competitive advantage. The aim of the article is to indicate the role of digital technologies that support achieving the goals of the circular supply chain in the light of the challenges of sustainable development.
